Ordered as a gift for my grandson for his new Surface Pro tablet. Works great and is not short on space as some of the other Memory cards advertised as 256GB are. Well pleased and recommend this product.

I put it in my Note8 and loaded it up with pictures and videos and it works like a charm. Its less expensive than the others (I wouldn’t say “Cheaper”) so it is a good deal.

Was worried at first as I've always gone with sandisk, but so far so good!

Picked this up for my Nintendo Switch. It works, and has had no problems in the two days I’ve had it. I will update this if I have any problems with it so you will all know. But so far, so good.
As with all cards, you don’t get exactly the amount of data it says it can hold. I believe that this card read as 234GB, and some people get upset when the card says 256. This is not unusual and will happen with any card you get. I knew this going in, and am fine with it. So just be aware that this is going to show up slightly smaller than it says. This is not a reason to give a poor review, as you will face this with ALL memory cards.
So far, I’ve filled up approximately 128GB of the storage and it reads I’ve got 110 left. This makes me happy, as I ran out of space with my 128GB card.
Again, I’ll update this as I see any changes or have any problems, but so far, it works perfectly.

    Better than I thought...

I finally used all the memory and have a tiny bit left that can’t fit anything else. This card is really good. I can fit many things in it. I mainly needed it for videos since I love to record fun memories. I can’t be missing out on anything! I’d definitely buy more for when I need it again. Thanks a lot!

Not a ripoff, BUT had to work at getting the full potential of the card.

Originally it said it was full (no more available space) at around 14gb.
Reformatted the card AGAIN; then just began loading videos. (Least # of files with maximum gb’s).
Loaded at first to about 64 gb, and was able to run the last video loaded. Randomly selected several others, which were also able to be played.
Then went for over 240gb loaded. With similar results.
At all times the properties of the card reported ~248gb capacity.
This took a substantial amount of time, to utilize the full capacity of the card. Which you should not have to do.
Did this on a computer, would not be able to on the FIRE it was purchased for.

    Silicon Power 256GB MicroSDXC

    Timmy

I’ve bought numerous MicroSD cards and have found the Silicon Power cards to not be quite as reliable as the Samsung cards, but more reliable than the SanDisk cards (based on failure rates where the card either stops allowing write access or fails to the point of not allowing read or write access). My purpose for getting this one was that the Samsung 128GB card in my Samsung S8 phone was nearly full of mostly music, pics, and video files and I wanted a bigger card. This was my first purchase of a MicroSD bigger than 128GB and it was bought based on brand name and price. I didn’t do any read or write speed testing, but transferring all my files from my old 128GB card to this 256GB went faster than I was anticipating and accessing the media from the card on my phone hasn’t seemed any slower than accessing media stored on the internal memory. Time will tell how dependable this card is long term, but for the first 2 months of use this card has met my expectations and needs.
